Ellen’s passion for service and teaching has had impact around the world. In 2018, she work for a summer in rural Peru as both a Cordeiro Fellow and a Weissman Fellow, selected by Harvard. During her internship, she ran women’s health literacy workshops in the Shipibo-Conibo community and worked in non-profit management. In both 2018 and 2019, she taught high schoolers in Vietnam, introducing students to a liberal arts education by teaching topics including heart disease and journalism.
Her undergraduate training includes a secondary in Global Health and Public Policy, for which she conducted original research on the proliferation and effectiveness of women’s health literacy programs in Peru based on the findings of her field work as a Cordeiro Fellow.
